We had a good week-end snowshoeing in Ottawa west. I have read a lot of good reviews about the 70-200 2.8 L IS canon lens and wanted to experience it on my own. While we were snowshoeing, we saw a bunch of deer crossing the trail and it was a good opportunity to check out the quality of this lens in low light. I was excited to see the deer that close and also I was very impressed with the sharpness of the photo (handheld).

I love my 70-200 2.8 IS, though I usually use it for the day and switch to my 85mm 1.8 at night (plus it's a heck of a lot lighter!).
