Snowy Owl - Experimental Farm - Ottawa

While I was photographing the snowy owl at the Experimental Farm there was such a beautiful reflection of the sunrise on one of the buildings on Fisher Avenue.  I couldn't resist.

I'm pleased to announce that my winter workshops are filling up quickly at the Ottawa School of Art (Downtown Campus) & Shenkman Art Centre (Orleans Campus).  My February workshop is nearly full with only one spot left.

Patricia & Pierre

Photography Workshop at OSA

It was a great workshop, my students and I had fun.  It was nice to have students with a various interests (landscape photography, cityscape photography, and portrait photography.  Some of them just puchased their camera recently, where as some of them have had their camera for a while.  It was neat to see how each student progressed throughout the workshop.  We covered from basic photography techniques to intermediate, and I was amazed with the progress of each student.  At the end we have to give credit to the model, Lindsay, as it was pretty chilly and she managed it very well.  It looks like the second course for more advanced techniques will run in January at the Ottawa School of Art.  I will keep you posted on the dates.  Click on any image to enlarge.

 

Julie & Ernie - Strathmere, Ottawa

The two love birds were lucky to get such wonderful weather for thier wedding day.  It was nice to see them enjoy thier big day with family and friends from all over.  Congratulations again to Julie&Ernie. We both enjoyed your wedding, thank-you for treating us as family  : )   Here are a few teaser images. Click on any image to enlarge.

 

Photography Workshop

Exciting News! I am finally teaching my favourite subject... Photography. I will be running a two day worshop at The Ottawa School of Art. This two day workshop is mostly about natural light and lighting, in the second session we will have a model to photograph... it will be really fun. Julie & Ernie's E-Shoot

These two lovebirds live in Calgary and will be in Ottawa for their Wedding in the fall.  For their engagement shoot they decided on doing some urban photos around downtown Calgary.  It was a fun session and I can't say enough about the hospitality of Julie and Ernie.
